On June 25, one day before the 2025 national high school graduation exam, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai received a special emergency case. PHCA (born in 2007, residing in Chu Pah commune) unfortunately fell off her electric bike on the way home.
The female student was taken to the Emergency Department of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital – Hoang Anh Gia Lai by her family in a state of pain and fear. After examination, the doctor diagnosed that the female student had a crushed metatarsal (P) causing a fracture, dislocation and rupture of the extensor tendon. This is considered a complex injury that needs to be treated immediately if the function of the leg is to be restored.

Immediately, the surgical team quickly performed surgery to remove, fuse the bones, fix the joints and connect the tendons for the female student. The surgery lasted more than 1 hour in a tense and urgent atmosphere because the doctors understood that this was not a normal surgery, but that after that, a dream would be unfulfilled if tomorrow the female student could not take the high school graduation exam.
Currently, the female student's health has stabilized. In order to be in time for the graduation exam tomorrow morning (June 26), the doctors have planned to administer medicine and change bandages from 5am so that she can leave the hospital at 6am to continue the graduation exam.
