Accordingly, the mining industry decreased by 37.1% compared to the previous month, up 42.1% compared to the same period in 2024; the processing and manufacturing industry decreased by 0.3% compared to the previous month, up 6.3% compared to the same period; the electricity production and distribution industry decreased by 33.3% compared to the previous month, down 7% compared to the same period; the water supply and waste treatment industry decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous month, up 2.7% compared to the same period.

Mr. Le Vu Thuong - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that many industrial products with strengths of Quang Nam had production output in January increasing compared to the same period, including soft drinks reaching nearly 27 million liters (up 30.8%); woven fabrics from cotton with cotton content of 85% or more reaching ^208,000m2 (up 10.7%); professional clothing reaching 96.4 thousand pieces (up 4.4%); tire cord fabric reaching more than ^5,000,000m2 (up 19.7%); cardboard boxes and crates reaching more than 2 million pieces (up 3.5%)...

However, many manufactured products decreased compared to the same period, such as aquatic feed (down 40.2%); fish fillets and other fresh fish meat (down 50%); suits, uniforms, jackets, trousers, overalls, shorts for adults, not knitted or crocheted (down 11.4%); wood shavings, wood chips (down 29%); paper packaging and bags (down 22.9%)...

To promote industrial development in Quang Nam, Mr. Le Vu Thuong said that the industry and trade sector continues to complete the project to form and develop an industrial center for deep processing of silica products in the province; advise the Provincial People's Committee to evaluate the pilot project on the mechanism to encourage cooperation and linkage in production according to clusters of supporting industries and mechanical industries in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone; monitor investment and create conditions for the development of industrial clusters throughout the province...
