Details of free parking spots on September 2nd holiday

The Hanoi Department of Construction has requested localities to arrange locations and organize free parking for people coming to watch the preliminary and final rehearsals at the State level and the National Day celebration on September 2.

Accordingly, 18 communes and wards have reviewed and arranged parking spaces, including Bo De, Bach Mai, Hai Ba Trung, O Cho Dua, Ba Dinh, Cua Nam, Dai Mo, Giang Vo, Khuong Dinh, Kien Hung, Lang, Ngoc Ha, Tay Ho, Yen Hoa, Yen So, Vinh Thanh, Tuong Mai and Ba Vi. Functional forces will be deployed at parking spots to guide and arrange vehicles. Units continue to review and add more parking spots to meet people's needs during the holiday.

People are given free parking when watching parades and processions during the grand festival.

It is expected that there will be about 100 car and motorbike parking spots arranged around the beltways and urban railways, to serve people and tourists watching the parade on the occasion of the 80th National Day.

Parking lots are located in four main areas, making it easy for people to choose a suitable parking spot and then use public transport to get to the city center.

Western area (Cau Giay, Tu Liem): These locations are convenient for people to take the Nhon - Hanoi station train line.

Passenger vans with more than 30 seats: Nhon depot area. Cars: Roadways of Quan Hoa, Nguyen Van Huyen, Tran Quy Kien, Tran Thai Tong, Thanh Thai, Duy Tan, Duong Dinh Nghe, Ton That Thuyet, Nguyen Chanh, Trung Hoa, Vu Pham Ham, Mac Thai To, Mac Thai Tong, Tran Quoc Hoan, Ham Nghi, Ho Tung Mau streets; dual carriageway 70 (section from Trinh Van Bo to road 32). Cars, motorbikes, bicycles: Parking lot of Hanoi Transport Corporation (Nhon station); land of Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. (adjacent to Industrial University); campus of National University, Pedagogical University, University of Transport, Land at Nhon bus transfer location.

Southwest area (Ha Dong ward):

These locations are near Yen Nghia bus station and Cat Linh station of the Cat Linh - Ha Dong railway line. Passenger cars and small cars: Yen Nghia bus station; Phu Luong depot area. Small cars: Roadside of Nguyen Khuyen street, 19/5 street; Le Hong Phong Cadre Training School campus. Cars, motorbikes, bicycles: Campus of the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications, Hanoi University, University of Natural Sciences , University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Water Resources, University of Trade Unions.

Southern region:

Passenger vans with 45 seats or less: Vacant lot near Thang Long Tobacco Company (Nguyen Trai Street); roadway 2.5 (from Kim Dong to Den Lu, parking both ways).

Cars: Roadside of Kim Nguu, Thanh Nhan, Tran Dai Nghia, Pho Vong streets. Cars, motorbikes, bicycles: Campus of National Economics University, University of Construction.

Northern and Eastern areas (Tay Ho, Long Bien):

Passenger cars, small cars: Dam Quang Trung street, vacant land on Dam Quang Trung street.

Cars: Roadways of streets in the Diplomatic Corps area (Minh Tao, Nguyen Xuan Khoat, Xuan Tao - section from Hoang Minh Thao to Nguyen Xuan Khoat); roadways of Hong Tien, Nguyen Gia Bong, Phu Huu, Hoang Nhu Tiep.

To avoid congestion, the city recommends that people limit the use of personal vehicles in the central area. Prioritizing public transport such as buses and sky trains will help make the journey of tourists and residents more convenient during the big day.
