American startup Infinite Machine has just launched the Olto electric motorbike with a minimalist, futuristic design and integrated with many modern technologies. The bike has a top speed of 20 mph, which is enough to drive in bike lanes in most US cities without a license or insurance. When Off-road mode is activated, the bike can reach 33 mph.
Olto uses a 48V 25Ah (1.2 kWh) battery, providing a range of about 64 km. The battery is removable, fast charging reaches 50% in 1 hour or full in 3 hours. Users can also carry a spare battery (weighing 9 kg) for quick replacement when needed. The bike has many anti-theft features such as GPS, LTE, AirTag slot, electronic locks for the engine and rear wheel, and physical handlebar lock. A separate auxiliary battery helps the anti-theft system still work even when the main battery is removed.
The car's square design, wiring system and suspension are completely hidden. The chassis allows users to easily add a cargo rack or expand the utility. The bench seat is long enough for two, with a passenger footrest that can be hidden when not in use. There's also a small storage compartment under the seat with two helmet hooks. Olto is unlocked via Bluetooth, NFC card or sharing digital access with others. The car has an integrated USB charger for phones, a full LED lighting system including high beams, low beams, daytime running lights and turn signals.
Priced at $3,495, the Olto straddles the line between a high-end e-bike and a budget motorcycle. You can reserve one for $100, with deliveries expected to begin early this fall. Video : Introducing Olto - electric motorbike "hybrid" with bicycle.
