According to RT , Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping had a phone call lasting about 1 hour on June 19, discussing bilateral relations and the Israel-Iran conflict.
President Putin's foreign policy adviser, Yury Ushakov, described the phone call between the two leaders as "friendly and constructive".

Moscow and Beijing have a “similar approach” to the Middle East crisis, Yury Ushakov said, adding that President Putin and President Xi Jinping both “strongly condemn Israel’s actions as a violation of the UN Charter and other norms of international law.”
President Putin reaffirmed Moscow’s readiness to make mediation efforts in the Middle East if necessary, a move that President Xi Jinping called a step that could help defuse the conflict.
“Moscow and Beijing both believe that there is no military solution to the current situation or to the problems related to Iran’s nuclear program. The conflict between Israel and Iran must be resolved exclusively through political and diplomatic means,” the Russian presidential aide stressed.
According to Mr. Ushakov, the two Russian and Chinese leaders also agreed to direct relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries to maintain close contact and exchange information in the coming days.
