In the vibrant flow of Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence (AI) is gradually reshaping the way we build, manage and develop modern cities.
The workshop “Application of AI in smart cities”, organized by the Vietnam Real Estate Club, Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Club in collaboration with Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine on June 20, was an opportunity for experts to discuss the increasingly profound influence of AI in urban living spaces and the real estate sector.

According to experts, AI is not just a technological tool, but is becoming a key factor that makes a difference for cities. From infrastructure planning, traffic operations, to public service provision, every area in a smart city can benefit from the application of AI.
Mr. Tran Chi Hieu, Director of AI Center - Vietnam Blockchain Association, said that AI is starting to be widely applied in the real estate sector, especially sales. It helps sales teams create attractive short videos , increasing sales efficiency. This technology supports personal branding for sellers, recommends products suitable for each customer, automates content processes and improves customer care quality.

According to Mr. Phan Thanh Son, Executive Vice President and Business Development Director of FPT IS, AI is opening a new step forward in smart urban management. It not only helps detect accidents and assess damage in real time, thereby shortening the claim processing process, but also optimizes operating costs by reducing the need for manual inspection and effectively utilizing human resources.

The highlight of the solutions deployed by FPT IS is the integration of the NVIDIA AI Blueprint platform – a technology that enables advanced video processing, rapid deployment, and parallel processing to provide analysis and warnings earlier. The application of this system significantly shortens the solution development time, thanks to the ability to flexibly combine AI models and microservices (NIM), eliminating complex workloads that take months or years to complete.
According to Mr. Son, AI can be effectively applied in many areas of smart city infrastructure such as traffic management, ensuring urban safety, and processing automatic insurance transactions. The system is also capable of identifying property degradation, vandalism, or safety hazards in real time – helping authorities collect accurate data without having to send people to the scene.
