Trinh Ngoc Anh's daughter shares about the difficulties and fears when her father Trinh Ngoc Lien had a stroke and was bedridden.

At the same time, an additional 20 million VND was awarded to help Mr. Lien have the conditions to treat his illness and recover his health soon to take care of his two children.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Loan (3rd from left) - Vietnamese American, encouraged Mr. Lien with a promise to sponsor his daughter, Trinh Ngoc Anh, for her 11th and 12th grade education, as well as part of the funding to help the family repair the porch and the exit gate, ensuring convenience for Mr. Lien to push his wheelchair.
As the breadwinner of the family, his wife passed away, Mr. Lien has been both a father and a mother, taking care of his two children's education, but now, he has suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on the right side of his body, and has to stay in one place. His two children are in 10th and 3rd grade. For more than 5 months now, being bedridden and having no income, the life of the three of them has fallen into a deadlock and difficulty. His daughter, Trinh Ngoc Anh, also has colon polyps. Although she had surgery to remove them last year, due to the family's difficult circumstances, Ngoc Anh has not yet been able to go for a follow-up examination.
In order to help Mr. Lien get treatment and have the conditions to raise his two children to continue going to school, the program "Sharing the pain" has connected clubs, volunteer groups, and benefactors at home and abroad to join hands to support and donate 160 million VND to his family. This amount of money will help Mr. Lien have the funds to continue treating his illness and take care of his two children's food and education.
Clubs, teams, volunteer groups in the province, along with benefactors, associations, and unions in the province and locality, donated money to support Mr. Lien's family.
After consulting and discussing with the family and local authorities on solutions for medical examination and treatment and livelihood development, the organizers of the program "Sharing the Pain" agreed to allocate 10 million VND for Mr. Lien and his son to go to the hospital; allocate 40 million VND to repair and upgrade the dilapidated level 4 house; and save 110 million VND to have a source of funds for the family's future. In addition to the funds given to support the family, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Loan, an overseas Vietnamese in the US, also sponsored his daughter, Trinh Ngoc Anh, to finish 12th grade and partly to help the family repair the porch and the path to the gate to make it easier for Mr. Lien to push his wheelchair.
Receiving the love and kindness of the benefactors, Trinh Ngoc Anh was moved and said: “I am very grateful. I would like to thank the program “Sharing the Pain” along with the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters and benefactors for giving love and help to my family. My fear of having to drop out of school has been resolved. On behalf of my father and younger brother, I would like to thank the benefactors for helping my father have money for medical treatment and helping my sisters and I continue to go to school. Thank you very much!”
Chairwoman of the Association for the Support of the Disabled - Orphans and Poor Patients of the province Nguyen Thi Lien presented milk from TANACO Vietnam Joint Stock Company to the family.
The organizers of the program “Sharing the Pain” gave a total of 160 million VND to Trinh Ngoc Lien’s family. Of which, 110 million VND was deposited in savings, in the name of Trinh Ngoc Anh’s daughter and the local government managed the book.
