On July 24, Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino announced a new logo for the social network, replacing the familiar blue bird symbol with a white "X" on a black background.

On her personal Twitter account, Ms. Yaccarino posted a photo of a stylized X on a black background and wrote: "X is here! Let's do this."
In a post a day earlier, billionaire Elon Musk said he wanted to change Twitter's logo and asked his millions of followers if they supported changing the site's color scheme from blue to black. Twitter's original logo was designed in 2012.
Since billionaire Musk bought Twitter in October 2022, the company has changed its corporate name to X Corp, reflecting the entrepreneur's vision of creating a super app like China's WeChat.
Last April, Twitter temporarily changed its blue bird logo to a Shiba Inu dog - the symbol of the digital currency Dogecoin, helping the value of this currency increase sharply in the market.
Also since the new owner took over Twitter, the company has faced many upheavals such as mass layoffs, a sharp decline in the number of advertisers, and the appearance of Meta's Threads application to compete with Twitter.
