Saying goodbye to Pau FC, Quang Hai returns to V-League

A reputable source from VTC News confirmed that Quang Hai is about to complete negotiations with a team in the top group of the V-League 2023 rankings. This team had raised the issue of recruiting Quang Hai since the end of 2021, however, Quang Hai was eager to play abroad so he refused the offer at that time.

When Quang Hai wanted to leave Pau FC, the above club continued to show interest. According to VTC News sources, the Vietnamese player basically agreed to the proposals and was ready to return to play in the V-League. When Quang Hai returns home in the coming days to join the Vietnamese national team, he will complete the final steps to sign the contract. Quang Hai's salary and "signing fee" did not decrease much even though he had an unsuccessful season with Pau FC.

Quang Hai joined Pau FC at the beginning of the 2022/23 season on a two-year contract. However, the Vietnamese player left on a free transfer a year ahead of schedule. Quang Hai played a total of 12 matches for Pau FC in Ligue 2, including two starts. The midfielder's total playing time for the French team was 254 minutes. Quang Hai scored one goal.

However, in the second half of the season, Quang Hai was no longer trusted by coach Didier Tholot. He mainly sat on the bench. Even in the last 12 rounds of Ligue 2, Quang Hai was removed from the Pau FC registration list and mainly played for the reserve team.

" After many weeks of discussion, I went directly to Pau FC to request Quang Hai's release at the end of this season. I personally met with President Frey-Laporte Bernard on Thursday, June 1st and we reached an agreement on June 3rd for Quang Hai to end this season with Pau FC. President Pau accepted our request ," Quang Hai's representative said.

Mr. Fersini thanked Pau FC for giving Quang Hai the opportunity to come to France and play in Ligue 2 as well as the support from the club during the season.
