If users follow instructions from suspicious messages, their personal information and sensitive data associated with their Telegram account will be stolen.
According to information from the Anti-Phishing Project, the unit has just discovered a phishing campaign targeting Telegram users.
To scam users, malicious actors send Telegram messages asking victims to verify their identity, security, or report a violation. These messages often include links to fake websites with interfaces similar to the Telegram website.
If users log in with their account information, enter their password and OTP code on a fake website, their personal information and sensitive data associated with their account will be stolen.

In some more sophisticated cases, malicious actors even create fake Telegram bots; when users click on a message, a new login "window" will appear within the application with the same purpose of theft.
Based on a reported phishing link, the Anti-Phishing team stated that, after analyzing the source code, they found that the scammers used notes in multiple languages, indicating they originated from different countries.
This indicates that the scam campaign is targeting Telegram users in many countries around the world .
To avoid becoming a victim, Telegram users need to be vigilant when receiving strange messages or notifications.
Absolutely do not click on links from unknown sources sent via Telegram messages.
