According to him, what is the role of banks, especially Nam A Bank, in supporting Vietnamese businesses in digital transformation and enhancing their competitiveness in the Fourth Industrial Revolution?
Digital transformation and green transformation are important topics and are being directed by the Government in various conferences. Departments and agencies are implementing all action programs aimed at achieving digital transformation and green transformation goals.
The banking sector, acting as a financial intermediary connecting businesses, plays a crucial role in supporting and promoting transformation in line with the Government's objectives. Nam A Bank is one of the banks with a digital and green strategy, and is currently developing a strategy to support Vietnamese businesses, as well as Nam A Bank's customers, in this transformation process.
Nam A Bank develops credit packages and support packages for businesses undergoing industrial transformation and green transformation to help businesses become more confident in their capabilities and the resources available from the bank, enabling them to boldly pursue transformation and enhance their competitiveness in the globalized world. These packages also help promote digital transformation and optimize cash flow for businesses.
A key aspect of Nam A Bank's business operations is building a platform that allows digital businesses to connect with Nam A Bank's platform. This enables customers to access banking services with just a single touch. This is a strength that helps businesses avoid building resources in multiple areas, allowing them to connect all their operations with a single touch.
Nam A Bank currently plans to develop a banking strategy for overseas Vietnamese. How has the company leveraged its role to harness the resources of overseas Vietnamese in the digital transformation process?
There are approximately over 6 million Vietnamese expatriates abroad, and nearly 100,000 businesses owned by expatriates. This is a very large and extremely important resource, which was affirmed at the Fourth World Conference of Overseas Vietnamese held in Hanoi in August.
The Prime Minister has affirmed the very important role of overseas Vietnamese and overseas Vietnamese businesses. Nam A Bank's participation in building resources for overseas Vietnamese is not merely a business strategy, but a community responsibility, in conjunction with the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to promote the capabilities and resources of overseas Vietnamese.
From there, the unique resources from overseas Vietnamese intellectuals will return to contribute to and support the country's development, given that the initiatives of the overseas Vietnamese intellectual community are currently one of the most significant resources, ranging from technology and biology to business and networking.
These initiatives will help overseas Vietnamese businesses connect with domestic businesses, sharing experiences and creating opportunities to globalize their competitiveness. Nam A Bank hopes to contribute a small part to this effort to support the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in promoting and developing resources from overseas Vietnamese.
As one of Vietnam's leading green banks, what has Nam A Bank been doing to support the green transformation and digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises?
Nam A Bank's strategy for the 2021-2026 period is based on two pillars: digital and green. This dual resource enables Nam A Bank to support businesses by developing suitable credit packages to help them transform and participate in the green economy.
Nam A Bank's crucial role is demonstrated in three points. Firstly , how can we help businesses develop a formula for assessing their responsibility, defining what constitutes green and carbon neutrality in their factories? Therefore, Nam A Bank will strive to work with consulting firms to build this formula, helping businesses evaluate their operations. Secondly , Nam A Bank's programs help businesses become more confident and assertive in their transformation, raising awareness among businesses about adapting to current global trends. Thirdly , government agencies and ministries need to be aware of and understand the role of green transformation, in order to develop more timely and appropriate mechanisms, policies, and regulations.
In addition, Nam A Bank will strive to connect with green capital investment funds, bringing those resources to serve the Vietnamese economy and businesses. Because the green transformation and digital transformation require businesses to pay higher costs than usual, they urgently need such support resources.
I believe that, with innovation and the determination of the entire society, the digital transformation, green transformation, and the catalyst from banking institutions will help businesses confidently and move faster in their operations.
