Artificial intelligence company OpenAI said on August 6 that it will allow the US government to use the ChatGPT Enterprise version for one year and charge only $1 for this service.

OpenAI's announcement said that federal employees in the executive branch will have access to ChatGPT Enterprise through a partnership agreement with the US General Services Administration (GSA).

“By providing government workers with powerful and safe AI tools, we can help them solve problems for more people, faster,” OpenAI states.

According to the company, ChatGPT Enterprise does not use corporate data to train or improve OpenAI's models, and the same rules will apply to federal use.

Earlier this year, OpenAI announced an initiative to bring advanced AI tools to US government employees.

This information was released at the same time the US Department of Defense announced that it had awarded OpenAI a $200 million contract to bring generative AI to serve the military./.
