Lend farmers 500 million VND to take care of fruit trees

On May 26, the Provincial Farmers Support Fund Executive Board coordinated with the Farmers' Association of Chau Duc district and Lang Lon commune to disburse 500 million VND to 10 households to implement a fruit tree care project.

Each household is given a loan of 50 million VND to invest in an irrigation system and buy fertilizer to care for their orchards. The project will last 30 months, with an interest rate of 0.7% per month.

Currently, Lang Lon has 336 hectares of fruit growing area, focusing on varieties such as durian, mangosteen, avocado, green-skinned grapefruit, rambutan, mango... Water sources for agricultural production in the area are quite abundant, mainly taken from rivers and streams such as Xoai River, Da Stream, Cha Rang Stream, Chich Stream and Da Den Lake.
