From the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month onwards, Tra On Market (Tra On District, Vinh Long Province) and Phu Thu Market (Cai Rang District, Can Tho City) become busier than usual as many small traders and farmers bring their agricultural products to sell. Most abundant are fruits, vegetables, flowers of all kinds, and a wide variety of Tet decorations. Reporters from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper captured the bustling scenes of these rural markets in the final days of the year:

Agricultural products from local farms and small traders are sold at Phu Thu market.

Crowds of people flock to Phu Thu market on the day before Tet (Lunar New Year).

Pickled onions are widely sold in markets during Tet (Vietnamese New Year).

The rural market in Tra On is just as crowded.
