The National Assembly voted to pass a resolution to dismiss Mr. Bui Van Cuong from the position of Secretary General of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and to remove him from the duties of a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.
On the afternoon of October 25, the Office of the National Assembly issued a press release. Accordingly, on the afternoon of October 25, the National Assembly held a separate meeting to continue personnel work under its authority. The National Assembly voted to pass Resolution No. 157/2024/QH15 dated October 25, 2024 on the dismissal of Mr. Bui Van Cuong from the position of Secretary General of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the dismissal of his duties as a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.
Mr. Bui Van Cuong ceased to hold the positions of Secretary General of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee; ceased to perform the duties of a deputy of the 15th National Assembly; retired according to his personal wishes and enjoyed the regime and policies according to current regulations.
Mr. Bui Van Cuong was born on June 18, 1965. His hometown is Thang Long Commune, Kinh Mon Town, Hai Duong Province. Before being a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, and Head of the National Assembly Office, he was President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee.
