In its latest message to the public, the Cambodian National Organizing Committee for the 32nd SEA Games (CAMSOC) requested that guests and the public, both domestic and international, comply with the time, maintain order and solemnity at the ceremony, bring their invitations and sit in the assigned seats; and notify the participating delegation in advance to facilitate the arrangement of entry and exit to the event area.
In addition, CAMSOC also requires the heads of guest groups and teams from ministries, branches, localities and partners to proactively coordinate with the Organizing Committee and volunteers in each area to ensure good security and order at the closing event of the congress.
In the above message, CAMSOC noted that children under 10 years old are not allowed to participate in the closing event of the 32nd SEA Games, the public attending the event is only allowed to bring drinking water with a capacity of less than 500ml, a small amount of snacks, spare batteries for phones or electronic devices with a capacity of less than 10,000 mAh; not allowed to bring backpacks, handbags, sharp weapons, explosives or devices that can be dangerous; not allowed to make noise or leave their seats when the leader is speaking.
Regarding the preparations for the closing ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games, Mr. Thong Khon - Minister of Tourism and Permanent Vice President of CAMSOC - called on assigned agencies and units to bring people to the event venue to ensure order and smooth organization and operation.
Chairing and speaking at the meeting to discuss, hand over entrance tickets and check seats for the closing ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games at the Press Center located at the Morodok Techo National Stadium on May 14, CAMSOC Permanent Vice President Thong Khon thanked the Cambodian people for attending the opening ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games in large numbers and in an orderly manner. However, for the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee has replaced the tickets with designated seating locations in each area of the stands, making it more convenient for the public and the organization. In that spirit, for people from the provinces who came to watch the closing ceremony, Mr. Thong Khon requested that the person in charge identify the viewing area and take them to the designated seats.
Previously, Mr. Vath Chamroeun - Secretary General of CAMSOC - said that the closing ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games will be held on a moderate scale according to the convention of sporting events, but will have its own unique features with a new, special and different art performance program, mobilizing nearly 2,000 actors to participate, promising a performance that brings many emotions mixed with joy and pride for an impressive and successful SEA Games in Cambodia.
According to the schedule, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen will preside over the closing ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games with the participation of many international guests at Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh on the evening of May 17.
The 32nd SEA Games is a regional sporting event hosted by Cambodia for the first time, attracting over 12,400 members of sports delegations from 10 member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Timor Leste to compete in 37 sports with 581 events.
With the slogan "Sports - Living in peace", the 32nd SEA Games officially took place from May 5 to 17 at many stadiums and competition areas in the capital Phnom Penh and the provinces of Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot and Kep.
