Chairman of the City People's Council Le Van Hieu inspected storm prevention in Hong An ward.

On the morning of July 21, comrade Le Van Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Council inspected the work of preventing and fighting storm No. 3 (storm WIPHA) in Hong An ward.

Faced with the complex and unpredictable developments of storm No. 3, the Chairman of the City People's Council requested that localities absolutely not be negligent or subjective, at the same time, closely follow the city's direction, closely monitor the developments and direction of the storm to proactively prevent and combat; deploy plans to ensure safety for the dyke system and culverts under the dyke, and strengthen inspection and review of vulnerable areas.

Regarding the Trai Kenh dike area, which has been degraded for many years, the Chairman of the City People's Council requested relevant units to conduct a review and assessment of the situation. In the absence of central funding, it is recommended that the city allocate funds to reinforce and upgrade the dike surface, ensuring the safety of the dike system as well as ensuring the safety and convenience of traffic for more than 400 households living in the area.

Inspecting the Quan Toan apartment complex, where there are 8 5-storey buildings and 570 people living, the Chairman of the City People's Council requested the local government to focus on ensuring the safety of households, and in case of emergency evacuation, to arrange suitable accommodation and meals.
