The President affirmed that, in the face of complicated developments in the world situation, the similarities between Vietnam and France in supporting multilateralism, free trade, responding to climate change, as well as the aspiration for the sustainable and everlasting development of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries... are important foundations to bring the two countries' relations closer together, together towards a fair, sustainable and humane world order.

The French leader emphasized that Vietnam is entering a new era of development, from the "mountains and rivers of the South" that Ly Thuong Kiet praised in the past to the Red River Delta, Vietnam is transforming rapidly and extraordinarily, thereby gradually affirming its role and position in the region and the world, as well as in dealing with global challenges.
President Macron affirmed that France will always stand side by side with Vietnam and is ready to build “other bridges” in politics, economics, culture and language. At the same time, he welcomed the agreements signed during this visit, opening up promising prospects.
Referring to the Vietnamese six-eight verse form, President Macron said that the bond between the two countries is similar to this elegant verse form that rhymes with a 6-8 rhythm. Each verse exists through the previous verse and creates the next. Each new line of common history between the two countries draws strength from the previous lines and outlines the contours of tomorrow.
