Welcoming Mr. Hyun Sang Cho to Vietnam to attend the 3rd ABAC Meeting, the President highly appreciated the results achieved in the past time within the framework of APEC 2025 and ABAC with the Republic of Korea as Chair; at the same time, he emphasized that ABAC member enterprises have supported and chosen Vietnam as the venue for the 3rd Meeting in 2025, demonstrating the importance of Vietnam's role and prestige in the Asia- Pacific region.

Assessing the ABAC 2025 Meeting as a particularly important activity to build common recommendations of the business community to submit to the APEC 2025 Summit in October 2025 in the Republic of Korea, the President emphasized that Vietnam will actively contribute to the Council's recommendations, aiming to promote growth and sustainable development of member economies, while creating an open, inclusive and sustainable economic future for the Asia- Pacific region.

This ABAC III meeting is also considered one of the first events to kick off Vietnam's hosting of APEC 2027. Therefore, the President hopes that the business community of member economies will pay attention, support and accompany Vietnam to successfully assume its role as host of APEC 2027.

Expressing his sincere thanks to the President for taking the time to meet him, Mr. Hyun Sang Cho said that the meeting demonstrated Vietnam's respect and support for the international business community and was a testament to the efforts to continue improving the investment environment, enhancing public-private dialogue, as well as supporting foreign enterprises to invest long-term, effectively and sustainably in Vietnam; he expressed his deep gratitude for the presence of the President and leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam at ABAC III as well as at the Hai Phong Investment Promotion Conference.

Mr. Hyun Sang Cho shared the priorities in the Council's agenda this year, focusing on promoting economic recovery and deep integration in the APEC region; emphasizing that ABAC continues to commit to actively contributing to common efforts for a prosperous, inclusive and cohesive APEC economic community.

Sharing the opinions of the ABAC Chairman, the President was pleased to see that Vietnam's trade and investment relations with APEC member economies have made remarkable progress in recent times; at the same time, he affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam always create all conditions for foreign enterprises, including ABAC member enterprises, to feel secure in investing, operating long-term and successfully in Vietnam.

As the leader of Hyosung Group, Mr. Hyun Sang Cho informed about some of the Group's ongoing investment activities in localities of Vietnam, affirming that the Group will continue to make efforts to contribute more to Vietnam's economic development; deeply thanking the President and the Government of Vietnam for creating favorable conditions for Korean enterprises, including Hyosung, to invest and develop sustainably in Vietnam in recent years.

Appreciating the investment activities of Hyosung Group, the President affirmed that Vietnam welcomes and encourages investors in the high-tech sector according to the strategic orientation of national development based on science, technology and innovation.

In the coming time, the President suggested that the Chairman of the Council continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies of Vietnam, serving as a bridge to help strengthen cooperation between Vietnamese enterprises and partners in the Asia-Pacific region, contributing to building common prosperity in the region and the world, while promoting the advisory role, accompanying Vietnam to successfully host APEC Year 2027.

On this occasion, the Chairman of ABAC 2025 presented an official invitation to the President to attend and speak at the APEC CEO Summit to be held in Korea in October 2025.
