National Assembly Chairman arrives in Sofia, begins official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria

According to the special correspondent of VNA, at exactly 5:45 p.m. on September 23 (Sofia capital time, or 9:45 p.m. Vietnam time), Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly arrived at Sofia International Airport, Sofia capital, to begin an official visit to the Republic of Bulgaria at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Rosen Zhelyazkov.

Welcoming National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the delegation at the airport were: Ms. Rositsa Kirova, Vice President of the Bulgarian National Assembly; Mr. Nikola Nikolov, Head of the Office of the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly...

Ambassador Do Hoang Long, Embassy officials, representatives of the community and Vietnamese students in Bulgaria warmly welcomed the delegation at the airport.

It is expected that during the visit, the National Assembly Chairman will hold talks and meetings with senior leaders of Bulgaria.

During the visit, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and members of the delegation will have meetings, exchanges and work with politicians and relevant agencies of Bulgaria on bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the two National Assemblies...

Bulgaria is one of the countries that established relations with Vietnam very early, since 1950; it has given Vietnam valuable support in the process of fighting for national liberation, national reunification as well as in the current process of building and developing the country.

Bulgaria has trained thousands of cadres, experts and tens of thousands of skilled workers for Vietnam - people who have been actively participating in making important contributions to the cause of defending the Fatherland and building the country.

Among those who have studied in Bulgaria in the past, there are people who hold important positions in the political system as well as the socio-economic life of Vietnam.

Over the past 73 years, Vietnam has always attached importance to consolidating and developing the traditional friendship and cooperation with Bulgaria.

The visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly was made 15 years after the official friendship visit to Bulgaria by National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong in 2008./.
