National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended and talked with officials and people of Loi village (Thanh Huong commune, Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province) at the 2024 National Great Unity Festival, organized by the village's Fatherland Front Committee, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024).
Attending the Festival with the cadres and people of Loi village was Ha Nam Provincial Party Secretary Le Thi Thuy.
At the festival, officials and people of Loi village reviewed the history, tradition, and great contributions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front over the past 94 years to the cause of solidarity and promoting the strength of the entire people in the struggle to regain independence and freedom for the nation, fight against foreign invaders, unify the country as well as in the cause of building and developing the country today.
Informing at the Festival, Mr. Le Xuan Khoat, Party cell secretary, Head of the Front Work Committee of Loi village, said that in recent years, under the direct leadership of local Party committees and authorities, responding to movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, cadres and people in the village have always united and joined hands to build their villages according to the new rural criteria.
In particular, the cadres and people in the village are always united, supporting and helping each other to develop the economy and get rich legitimately. In addition to rice cultivation, the people in the village actively produce winter vegetables, develop livestock, and do many other jobs and services. In particular, the village currently has 6 industrial production facilities, thereby creating many jobs and income for local workers. By 2024, the average income per capita of the village will reach 75 million VND/person/year, the poverty rate will be only 0.98%.
Villagers voluntarily contributed money and labor to build many essential projects such as village roads, intra-field roads, night lighting, village gates, cultural houses, playgrounds, and health training areas; 100% of village roads and alleys have been concreted or paved with asphalt. Many households in the village have participated in "donating land and moving walls" to expand village roads.
Implementing the village covenant, everyone and every household in the village is aware of building a cultural lifestyle, maintaining security and order, environmental sanitation, taking care of the work of promoting education and talents; preventing social evils, supporting people in difficult circumstances, supporting people affected by natural disasters outside the locality...
The village maintains and develops volleyball, badminton, health care, and folk dance clubs. The number of participants is increasing, of all ages. The village atmosphere is always harmonious, joyful, and united.
The opinions shared by the people of Loi village during the Festival expressed their joy at the achievements of a clean and beautiful village, and the material and spiritual life of each person and each household is increasingly improved.
Talking to officials and people of Loi village, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his joy at the achievements in economic and social development of Loi village in particular, of Thanh Huong commune, of Thanh Liem district and of Ha Nam province in general; especially the achievements in new rural construction in the locality in recent times.
“Building new rural areas aims to bring practical benefits to the people. I am very happy to come here and see the clean and beautiful village roads and alleys of Loi village in general and Thanh Huong commune in particular, with a united, joyful, excited and friendly atmosphere,” the National Assembly Chairman acknowledged and shared.
The National Assembly Chairman also highly appreciated the preparations for the Great Unity Day of the locality. During the festival, people from near and far villages came together to attend. According to the National Assembly Chairman, this clearly demonstrated the spirit of great national unity.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his hope that in the coming time, local officials and people will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements; determined to build and improve the quality of new rural areas. Each family needs to actively develop the economy, eliminate poverty; actively participate in maintaining security and order, building a cultural lifestyle, promoting the nation's fine cultural traditions, mutual love; actively participate in protecting the living environment, taking care of children's education; participate in monitoring the activities of the government apparatus, and join hands to build their residential areas free of social evils, free of lawbreakers, and not let bad forces take advantage to incite, entice, and divide the great national unity bloc.
“A strong family makes a strong village, a strong village makes a strong commune, a strong commune makes a strong district, a strong district makes a strong province, a strong province makes the Central Government strong,” the National Assembly Chairman acknowledged.
The National Assembly Chairman noted that the local political system, directly the Party Committee, the government, and the Fatherland Front at the grassroots level, must always pay attention, closely follow, and regularly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people; take care of policy families and families in difficult circumstances. Well implement the grassroots democracy regulations, the people's right to mastery with the motto "people are the root", "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit".
Talking to local officials and people, the National Assembly Chairman also took time to inform about the country's socio-economic development achievements; major policies and decisions of the Party and State; and important laws directly related to the people's lives that the National Assembly is building.
On the occasion of attending and sharing joy with the cadres and people of Loi village on the National Great Unity Day, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts to the collective and some households in the village.
