At the destinations, Ninh Kieu ward leaders reported to the National Assembly Chairman on the preparation of facilities, equipment, machinery, human resources... to ensure the smooth operation of the two-level local government from July 1.
Up to now, Ninh Kieu ward has 315 administrative procedures under its authority related to people and businesses.
The city's Public Administration Service Center alone receives and handles more than 2,000 administrative procedures assigned by the Government , ministries, branches, and cities.
To ensure the settlement of administrative procedures, the Center prepares human resources, modern machinery, means, and a smooth information system... to ensure full and smooth operation, meeting the requirements for settling administrative procedures of people and businesses when the two-level local government comes into operation after the merger and consolidation.
The Center also coordinates with all levels and sectors to organize training on administrative procedures for the Administrative Service Centers of communes and wards after the merger to overcome limitations and difficulties, ensuring effective operation.
Speaking at the inspection session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the preparation work in administrative units of Can Tho city.
The National Assembly Chairman noted that among the 103 wards and communes of the new city, Ninh Kieu is the central ward, very convenient in handling administrative procedures for people and businesses.
The ward is also a place close to the people, close to the people, it is necessary to resolve administrative procedures quickly so that people can trust the Party and the State. In the initial stage of operation, there will be difficulties, the ward leaders must unite and try to overcome them to operate smoothly.
The National Assembly Chairman requested that city leaders pay attention to implementing the Resolutions of the Central Government and the National Assembly in the process of implementing two-level local government.
Resolve administrative procedures without causing too much hassle and complexity, creating the best convenience for people and businesses; continue to recommend and propose specific and special mechanisms for Can Tho city to develop strongly in the coming time.
The National Assembly Chairman also noted that Can Tho city needs to pay more attention to disadvantaged communes, create favorable conditions for facilities, apply information technology in implementing public administrative procedures, and ensure that commune governments operate smoothly and effectively, truly serving the people.
The National Assembly Chairman stated that the establishment of the new Can Tho city is a favorable premise for implementing economic, cultural and social development linkages, ensuring national defense and security, expanding development space for the city, clearly positioning the role of the regional economic center, with enough capacity to lead the whole region.
Informing that after the merger, the new Can Tho city will immediately benefit from the special mechanisms and policies for the development of Can Tho city according to Resolution No. 45 of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that with the new development orientation and vision, the city can study and propose new, more suitable special mechanisms and policies, as with Da Nang, Hai Phong, etc. recently.
