Ensure completion of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses before August 30, 2025

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan has just directed departments, branches and localities to drastically speed up the implementation of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province (referred to as the Program), ensuring completion before August 30, 2025 in accordance with the direction of the Central Government.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) to weekly summarize and report to the Provincial People's Committee leaders the progress of the Program implementation and difficulties and problems for timely resolution.

Through the synthesis of the results of the Program implementation by the Standing Agency, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, by July 10, 2025, the entire Dak Lak province had deployed support for the construction and repair of 8,471/9,493 houses, reaching 89.23% of the plan (6,545/7,325 new houses; 1,926/2,168 houses repaired); of which 6,234 houses were handed over and put into use, reaching 65.67% of the plan.

Although there have been many efforts in directing and coordinating the implementation of the Program, there are still some difficulties and obstacles affecting the implementation progress such as: there are still 1,022 houses that have not been implemented and 28/102 communes have not yet completed the construction; recently, the price of construction materials in the province has increased, causing a shortage, so contractors and construction units have encountered difficulties in the construction process; implementing two-level local government, the statistics of data provided by the commune level have caused many difficulties for the Standing agency when updating data...
