The Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the State Duma of the Russian Federation is a parliamentary cooperation mechanism established under the Cooperation Agreement between the two sides since 2018. This is the first high-level bilateral inter-parliamentary cooperation model between the National Assembly of Vietnam and a foreign legislative body.

Previously, in September 2024, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man paid an official visit to the Russian Federation and co-chaired the third session of the Committee. The fourth session held within the framework of this visit by Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin and the high-ranking delegation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation continued to affirm the important role of the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee mechanism in promoting substantive and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
