At the statue of Uncle Ho in the grounds of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the delegation respectfully offered flowers to commemorate his great contributions.
During the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai reported to the National Assembly Chairman and the delegation on the results of the Embassy's work, the situation of Vietnam-China bilateral relations and the work of Vietnamese people in China.
The community representative expressed his emotion that National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation took the time to meet him right after arriving in Beijing; and said that over the years, the community has always received great attention and support from the Embassy with many practical activities, making the people always feel warm-hearted, feeling that the Fatherland is always by their side, looking towards them. The community representative affirmed that they will always be united, close-knit, support each other to develop together and always look towards their homeland, actively contributing to the country.
Le Duc Anh, Secretary of the Party Cell of Vietnamese Students in China, said that with more than 1,000 Vietnamese students in Beijing (out of a total of more than 10,000 students in China), the students always strive to study, research, and actively participate in activities to promote the image of Vietnam; thereby, leaving good impressions about the country, people of Vietnam, and Vietnamese youth with Chinese and international friends.

The Secretary of the Party Cell of Vietnamese Students in China hopes that there will be an innovative network connecting Vietnamese students in China; affirming his readiness to participate and contribute to the country's development.
On behalf of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue cordially sent his warmest regards and best wishes to all officials and staff of the Embassy, Vietnamese representative agencies and the Vietnamese community in China; expressed his joy and emotion at visiting the Embassy and meeting many people right at the first activity in the capital Beijing.
The National Assembly Chairman said he had visited China many times, but this was his first official visit as Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly at the invitation of Chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress Zhao Leji.
This is also the first visit to China by the Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly in five years. The visit is of great significance, taking place after two historic visits by the two highest leaders of the Party and State of the two countries: the visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in 2022 - the first foreign leader invited by China to visit immediately after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the visit of General Secretary andPresident of China Xi Jinping to Vietnam in December 2023.
The National Assembly Chairman said that during the visit to Vietnam in 2023 by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, the two sides issued a Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future with 6 “more”.
This is a very important milestone bringing the relationship between the two Parties, two States and peoples into a new phase, setting a new position for the relationship between the two countries.
Emphasizing the importance of this visit in maintaining the momentum of high-level contacts and high-level strategic exchanges between the two Parties and States of Vietnam and China, the National Assembly Chairman stated that the Vietnam-China Joint Statement in 2023 has determined a "new position" for Vietnam-China relations and it is the responsibility of all of us to implement and concretize the common perception between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries, bringing about better concrete results, especially in the six pillars of cooperation that have been identified.

The National Assembly Chairman also emphasized the task of strengthening, consolidating and further tightening the relationship between the legislative bodies of the two countries, which has been very warm and has a long tradition, promoting the role of parliamentary cooperation in implementing and concretizing strategic cooperation orientations between the two countries.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, the composition of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation on this official visit to China is very diverse, including leaders of the Central Party Committee, leaders of the National Assembly, the Government, agencies of the National Assembly, ministries, branches and localities that have many cooperative activities with China, and the rich program of activities of the visit also aims at the above goals.
At the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman informed the community of a number of key activities that will take place within the framework of the visit; a number of outstanding results in the socio-economic development of the country and the National Assembly in recent times.
Regarding the activities of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Chairman said that in the context of many difficulties and challenges due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the complicated and unpredictable developments of the international situation, the National Assembly has been proactive, flexible, creative, and innovative in organizing activities, effectively performing its functions and tasks, and making worthy contributions to the common achievements of our country.
During the 15th National Assembly term, the National Assembly successfully held 12 sessions, including 6 extraordinary sessions, and is actively preparing for the seventh session to take place at the end of May.

The National Assembly has made timely, correct, and practical decisions, including many special and unprecedented decisions, to promptly handle new and difficult issues arising in the recent special context. Regarding legislation, the National Assembly has passed many important laws in the spirit of development, including many new policies related to the Vietnamese community abroad.
The National Assembly Chairman acknowledged and commended the important contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese community in China to the bilateral relationship as well as to citizen protection. The National Assembly Chairman hoped that the Vietnamese Embassy would continue to implement and promote more effectively the existing cooperation mechanisms between the two countries; focus on studying China's experience in institution building and national governance...
Along with that, it is necessary to study and closely coordinate with the Chinese side so that the two sides can jointly study and propose new cooperation mechanisms suitable to the specific conditions of the two countries, bringing benefits to both countries, in accordance with international law.
With the increasingly strong development of Vietnam-China relations, the number of Vietnamese people in China will increase. Noting this issue, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that the Vietnamese Embassy and Consulates General, which have paid attention to this issue, should pay more attention to the work of Vietnamese people, pay attention to developing association work, pay attention to learning experiences and good practices of other countries in this field so that our community is "large but strong".

The National Assembly Chairman also said that recently, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son answered questions at the National Assembly Standing Committee's session on diplomacy and the protection of Vietnamese citizens abroad, which received agreement and high appreciation from National Assembly deputies.
The National Assembly Chairman welcomed the proposal of representatives of Vietnamese students studying in China on establishing an innovation network to attract the participation of Vietnamese students studying in China to contribute to the country's development.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Party and State always consider the Vietnamese community abroad, including the Vietnamese community in China, an inseparable part of the great national unity bloc, and one of the driving forces and sources of strength for the country's development.
The National Assembly Chairman hopes that the Vietnamese community in China will continue to promote the spirit of mutual love and affection, enhance solidarity, help each other for mutual development; strive to rise up, actively integrate, comply with the law and contribute to local development; at the same time, always turn towards the homeland and country, proactively make practical and effective contributions in terms of intelligence and resources to the cause of national construction and development; and be a bridge for the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries.
