Unique space, a blend of tradition and modernity
The Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025 was organized by the Hanoi People's Committee under the direction of the Department of Industry and Trade to honor cultural and heritage values, while affirming the capital's desire for innovation and creativity in the integration period. With 6 main exhibition areas, the space provides the public with a comprehensive picture of Hanoi's development journey from the past to the present and towards the future.
“The Redness of Hanoi” is a place to display unique handicraft products such as ceramics, lacquer, mother-of-pearl inlay, bamboo and rattan weaving. Each work not only reflects the ingenuity and creativity of the artisans but also contains the depth of culture and thousand-year identity. The space is highlighted by the image of the One Pillar Pagoda and Khue Van Cac, recalling the cultural roots.
“The Quintessence of Craft Villages” introduces famous craft villages in Hanoi, where artisans directly perform and share stories about their craft. This is an opportunity for the public to better understand the perseverance in preserving and promoting the quintessence left by our ancestors.

“Pioneering Technology” displays high-tech products, artificial intelligence solutions, and digital transformation to serve urban life. This area represents the aspiration to turn Hanoi into a center of creativity and technological innovation, in line with global development trends.
“Hanoi Gifts” brings visitors to the typical culinary flavors: Com Lang Vong, Uoc Le ham, apricot, lotus tea, Bach Diep lotus tea. It is not only a dish, it is also a memory, the soul of the thousand-year-old Capital.
“The source of culture” recreates traditional cultural experiences such as calligraphy, conical hat making, and clay figurine making. The image of Saint Giong and symbols such as Quan Chuong Gate and Dong Xuan Market are recreated, reminding the public of national pride.
“Village in the City” recreates the image of a Northern countryside village in the heart of a modern city with a communal house yard, moss-covered tiled roofs, bonsai trees and a space for performing folk arts such as cheo, ca tru, tuong and ao dai performances.
With a harmonious combination, Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025 depicts the image of a Hanoi that both preserves tradition and aspires to innovation, ready for international integration.
A representative of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade said that the space was built with the aim of promoting cultural achievements, tourism, and creative industries - key areas closely linked to the economic development of the capital. This is also an opportunity for Hanoi to introduce a new look to domestic and international friends: rich in identity, dynamic, and creative.
According to the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade, the special thing about the space lies in the intersection between the past and the present. If the handicraft products, craft villages and cuisine affirm the traditional identity, the technology and innovation exhibition areas show the strength and aspiration of the capital in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution. This combination is the key to Hanoi's sustainable development, both preserving heritage and promoting the creative economy, attracting investment and tourists.
Hanoi is brave, creative, and reaches international level
After visiting the areas, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh highly appreciated the organizational efforts and creativity in the arrangement of Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025. The Chairman of the City People's Committee said that this is an event of special significance in the context of the Capital moving towards new development goals.

Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh emphasized that Hanoi has a long tradition of culture, and is a place where the quintessence of national culture converges and shines. However, to meet the requirements of the times, the capital needs to constantly innovate, create, and apply modern technology to all areas of life. This year's space is a testament to that convergence - both honoring traditional values and affirming the vision of sustainable and modern development.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed that the organization of the "Traditional and Creative Space" not only serves the people and tourists, but also conveys the message of a brave, open Hanoi, ready to reach out to the world. That is also the right direction for Hanoi to continue to play a leading role, as the center of politics, culture, science, education and innovation of the whole country.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh also expressed his expectation that through the exhibition, exchange and experience activities at the space, many creative ideas will be inspired, many handicraft products, craft villages and new technologies will find a wider market. This is not only a cultural event, but also an opportunity to connect the economy, promote startups, innovation, and spread the Hanoi brand on the international map.

Hanoi Traditional and Creative Space 2025 will open to the public from August 28 to September 5, 2025. With its large scale and rich content, the event promises to become an attractive cultural and tourist destination on the occasion of National Day September 2, attracting a large number of Hanoians, domestic tourists and international friends.
This is also an activity affirming the position of Hanoi - the heart of the whole country - firmly stepping into the new era, promoting traditional strength and creative aspirations to reach international level.
