The exhibition showcasing the nation's achievements, held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is themed "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" and will take place from August 28th to September 5th, 2025. This is an unprecedented nationwide event, covering nearly 260,000 square meters and displaying numerous artifacts and images introducing the achievements of 34 provinces and cities; 28 ministries and agencies; 94 private enterprises; and 12 state-owned enterprises.

This is a special event jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to summarize the 80-year development of the country since President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence (September 2, 1945). This event holds special significance in the series of events commemorating and honoring history, showcasing the outstanding achievements of the Party, State, and people throughout the process of building, protecting, and developing the country. At the same time, it affirms the leadership role of the Party, the management and administration of the State, and the unity, creativity, and efforts of the entire nation in the cause of national construction and development, contributing to promoting the strength of national unity.

The land and people of Vietnam are recreated at the exhibition.

The exhibition is not only a practical activity leading up to the national celebration but also an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position on the international stage and inspire the younger generation with national pride. Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh stated: "The exhibition is not only a place to admire artifacts and documents but also a space to showcase the outstanding achievements of the country over the past 80 years. Through this, every citizen, especially the younger generation, can better understand historical moments, the value of independence and freedom, as well as gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam's aspirations, will, and intelligence."

A highlight of the exhibition is the blend of glorious tradition and the spirit of the times. In addition, each province, city, and ministry has its own space, reflecting its long history and outstanding current achievements. The booths utilize new technologies such as touch screens, mapping, and multimedia projection, creating a vivid and engaging visual experience.

The outdoor area features exhibitions from the Army, the Police, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hai Phong; and a food court showcasing specialties from 34 provinces and cities participating in the exhibition, serving both locals and tourists.

Mr. Hai Binh, a resident of Hanoi, said: “Through the exhibition, I see that Vietnam has truly transformed. Overcoming the pain and losses caused by war, today, Vietnam is increasingly developing and standing shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading nations. As a young person, I am deeply grateful for what the Fatherland and the sons and daughters of the Vietnamese nation have sacrificed to win independence and freedom for the nation.”

Participating in the exhibition with a modern, welcoming booth reflecting the rich culture of Southern Vietnam, Tay Ninh introduced to the public its unique cultural values: traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music, distinctive vegetarian cuisine, the Ba Den Mountain festival, and images of economic development, green tourism, and industrialization in the new era.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, a traditional folk music artist from the Provincial Cultural and Arts Center, said: “Before going to Hanoi, we had about 20 rehearsals of songs about the land and people of Tay Ninh and Hanoi. We hope to bring to the audience and tourists, especially young people, sweet and profound melodies, so that they can understand and love traditional folk music even more. Through this, we contribute to preserving and promoting the unique values of this traditional art form, which has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.”

At the exhibition, in addition to live performances at the booths, visitors can also interact with and learn about traditional musical instruments such as the kìm, tranh, and cò, as well as familiar yet captivating melodies. This recreates the atmosphere of the Southern Vietnamese countryside right in the heart of the capital, contributing to promoting the image of a multi-ethnic, friendly, integrated, and sustainably developing Tay Ninh.

Besides that, handicrafts and typical products of the province such as shrimp salt, rice paper, custard apples, bananas, etc., were also beautifully displayed, creating a highlight that attracted a large number of visitors. Mr. Dang Khanh Duy - General Director of Tan Nhien Co., Ltd., said: “Tan Nhien is proud to be one of the 5-star OCOP products of Tay Ninh province displayed and introduced at the exhibition. Through the exhibition, we hope to contribute to promoting the image of Tay Ninh - a province rich in tradition and identity, but also full of dynamism and creativity, while opening up great opportunities for businesses to find partners, expand markets, enhance competitiveness, and spread the movement of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".”

Each product displayed at the exhibition was meticulously prepared by the participating companies.

Through participation in the exhibition, Tay Ninh not only showcases a dynamic and creative province ready to enter a new era, but also clearly demonstrates its orientation towards preserving and promoting intangible cultural heritage, thereby affirming its position as one of the localities rich in cultural identity and creativity in the Southeast region.

According to representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province, participating in this exhibition is an opportunity to connect, learn, and promote the image of Tay Ninh to the whole country, while also demonstrating the spirit of "unity - creativity - development" of the locality as Tay Ninh enters a strategic development phase after merging with Long An, forming a new dynamic region and opening up a strong interconnected space.

The exhibition "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" is an opportunity for the people of the whole country to look back on the journey so far, pay tribute to previous generations, and at the same time gain further motivation to move forward on the new journey - the journey of building a prosperous, happy and sustainable Vietnam.
