Later that same day, households whose houses were slated for relocation along the route were busy cleaning up and moving their belongings to the resettlement area to hand over the land to the local authorities.
It is known that in Lang ward, 597 households are subject to land acquisition for the construction of the aforementioned project.

Ms. Co Thi Oanh (60 years old, De La Thanh, Hanoi) said that to serve the construction project of Ring Road 1, her family had to give up 43 square meters of land behind their house to the State.
"My family has ceded 43 square meters of land behind our house to the State, and we have fully handed it over and received 4.7 billion VND in compensation. Now, I only hope that the State will soon hand over to me the handover document showing the new land status after the ceding, so that I can apply for a new land title certificate."
"I think expanding Ring Road 1 like this is reasonable; it will make things smoother, instead of the daily traffic jams," said Ms. Oanh.

After living in their house on De La Thanh Street (Dong Da District, Hanoi) for 34 years, on the afternoon of December 11th, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung and Mrs. Lan busily packed their belongings, preparing to move to a new residence to hand over the premises to the authorities.
The house, which has been home to the family for nearly half their lives, is officially closing its chapter as they move to a resettlement area to make way for the city's infrastructure development project. However, according to Ms. Lan, the management of the Trung Van resettlement area has not yet provided electricity and water to the residents, affecting their daily lives.
"I fully support the city's policies, however, I suggest that electricity and water should be provided to residents in the resettlement area as soon as possible so that we can live more comfortably," she said.
Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , a leader of the Housing Management Department (Hanoi Department of Construction) said that the department has issued very specific guidelines on this matter. Accordingly, residents who want electricity and water must sign electricity contracts with the power company and water supply company to receive electricity and water, because these are new houses.
"Residents cannot have electricity and water immediately upon arrival because they must sign contracts with the suppliers. When signing a house purchase contract with the developer, residents will receive a confirmation letter from the seller stating that the house has been handed over. Only after receiving this confirmation letter will the electricity and water companies sign contracts for supply."
"After signing contracts with the electricity and water companies, residents will receive water approximately six hours later," said the head of the Housing Management Department.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online on the afternoon of December 11th, a leader of the Lang Ward People's Committee (Hanoi) stated that 100% of the households subject to relocation for the construction of Ring Road 1 have handed over the land to the authorities.
"We are currently securing the site so that the units can proceed with the demolition and site clearance," said a leader of the Lang Ward People's Committee.
Lang Ward also requested the Department of Construction to promptly issue a decision on the sale of resettlement housing so that the locality can complete the necessary paperwork. For cases of housing difficulties but not eligible for resettlement, the ward proposed applying a plan to purchase social housing without prior approval.

In O Cho Dua ward, land clearance for the construction project of Ring Road 1, specifically the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, has been completed.
In Giang Vo ward, there are 795 land clearance plans within the scope of Ring Road 1.
By November 21st, all 795 plans had been approved. On December 5th, the ward issued 89 decisions on compulsory land reclamation.
After days of persistent efforts to minimize coercion, by the morning of December 10th, most households had agreed, with only one case requiring forced eviction.
The Ring Road 1 construction project, specifically the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, is over 2.2km long and has a 50m wide cross-section.
The project starts at the intersection of Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang roads at Hoang Cau and ends at the Voi Phuc intersection. The total investment for the project is over 7,200 billion VND from the city budget. Approved in December 2017, the project was expected to be completed in 2020, but has been delayed due to land clearance issues.
Earlier, at a meeting with the three wards of O Cho Dua, Lang, and Giang Vo, Hanoi Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested that the units focus intensely and implement comprehensive measures to fulfill their commitments.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Duong Duc Tuan, also requested that the deadline for completing land clearance be December 15th.
