Hanoi Party Secretary: Ensure environmental hygiene in the construction area of ​​the Ring Road 1 project.

On the afternoon of December 11th, a conference was held at the headquarters of O Cho Dua ward (Hanoi) to evaluate and draw lessons from the land clearance work for Ring Road 1 (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section).

Land clearance for Ring Road 1 is basically complete.

Reporting at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Truong Viet Dung stated that the land clearance work for the Ring Road 1 project has been basically completed.

The total area to be acquired reached 153,341 m², affecting 1,983 households and organizations. Of these, O Cho Dua and Giang Vo wards have completed land clearance for 591/591 and 795/795 households respectively. Lang ward has completed clearance for 596/597 households, with one organization remaining to hand over the land on December 11-12.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Dinh Cuong - Director of the Hanoi Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board (Management Board) - committed that immediately after receiving a cleared site, the Board will work with the contractor and be determined to complete the technical route before January 15, 2026, in accordance with the directive of the City Party Secretary.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, City Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Ngoc expressed his gratitude and commendation to the officials, civil servants, neighborhood committee members, and people of the three wards: O Cho Dua, Lang, and Giang Vo, for their consensus in completing the land clearance work for the investment project to build Ring Road 1 (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section).

Mr. Ngoc assessed that the construction of a ring road system in the capital is very urgent, aiming to serve the transportation needs of the people and socio-economic development. Therefore, completing land clearance for each project is of great importance.

"Experience from the land clearance work for the Ring Road 1 project shows that we have acted decisively, made breakthroughs, and received the consensus of the people and organizations."

"The city has specifically assigned city leaders and departments to coordinate the implementation of tasks; this is an approach that needs to be further promoted," said the Hanoi Party Secretary.

The head of the Hanoi Party Committee said that the capital is currently focusing on addressing five pressing issues: flooding, environmental pollution, traffic congestion, urban order, and food safety. In this process, departments, agencies, and localities must clearly assign responsibilities, tasks, levels of authority, and timelines for implementation.

Regarding the Ring Road 1 project (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section), Mr. Ngoc requested that localities where the project passes continue to coordinate with the Management Board to ensure cleanliness and tidiness in the areas where land has been cleared. At the same time, he urged the public to beautify the streets, ensuring urban aesthetics.

The Hanoi Party Secretary also instructed the Management Board to immediately calculate the construction plan as soon as possible. In particular, during the construction process, it is necessary to minimize the impact on people's travel; the construction unit should erect barriers as soon as the work progresses, and traffic management should be prioritized.

The Hanoi City Party Committee leaders also requested that units replicate the best practices and experiences in land clearance for the Ring Road 1 project; with the aim of ensuring that land clearance facilitates project construction on schedule, minimizes the impact on people's lives, and protects the environment in the project construction area.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 7 individuals. The Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 14 collectives, 14 individuals, and households for their outstanding achievements in land clearance work for the Ring Road 1 project (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section).
