Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers imprisoned by the enemy in Hiep Hoa district.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh and leaders of the Department of Home Affairs and Hiep Hoa district visited and presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Van Ha (born in 1931), residential group 3, Thang town and Mr. Do Van Can (born in 1947), Tan Hop residential group, Bac Ly town. Both men participated in the revolution, were captured by the enemy and imprisoned in Con Dao prison. Currently, both men are seriously disabled, receiving monthly allowances according to regulations, their family circumstances are difficult, their health is poor, and they live with their children and grandchildren.

At the places visited, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh kindly encouraged and asked about the health and life of the families. At the same time, he emphasized that in the struggle for national liberation and reunification, many revolutionary soldiers were imprisoned, tortured and suffered physical and mental injuries and pain, but the two men still maintained their integrity and upheld their steadfast and indomitable spirit. The sacrifice of the revolutionary soldiers is the clearest proof of their bravery and absolute loyalty to the Party, the revolution and the people.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh also expressed the gratitude of the next generation for the contributions of the uncles to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished the two gentlemen good health, a happy and healthy life with their families, and hoped that they would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, steadfastness and indomitability, contributing to inspiring andeducating the younger generation about national pride and the steadfast revolutionary will of communist soldiers, and continuing to strive to build a rich and civilized homeland.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Viet Oanh presented meaningful gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to the two men. Leaders of the Hiep Hoa District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee also presented meaningful gifts to express gratitude to the two men on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification./.
