The program
The program "May Gifts for Uncle Ho" moved the audience through songs about Uncle Ho.

Music touches millions of hearts

President Ho Chi Minh , the beloved leader of the nation, has always been an endless source of inspiration for artistic creation. Melodies written about him not only convey revolutionary ideals but also vividly reflect the warm feelings of the people for him.

The songs "Looking at the tree and remembering him", "Singing in the Pac Bo forest" or "Uncle is marching with us" have become heroic songs engraved in the hearts of many generations. In particular, the song "As if there is Uncle Ho on the great victory day" by musician Pham Tuyen is a timeless artistic mark. The song's strong vitality lies not only in its heroic melody but also in its simple, sincere lyrics, touching the hearts of millions of Vietnamese people, affirming a truth: every victory of the nation has the shadow and guidance of Uncle Ho.

With more than half a century of dedication to music , People's Artist Thanh Hoa always devotes her whole heart and deep gratitude when performing songs about President Ho Chi Minh. Among them, Uncle Ho, a boundless love by musician Thuan Yen is the song associated with her name. People's Artist Thanh Hoa shared that, for artists, singing about Uncle Ho is not only an artistic performance, but also a way of showing gratitude, a deep thanks of the artist to a great man.

Carving Uncle Ho's portrait through color blocks

In addition to music, painting and sculpture are also expressive fields, vividly depicting the portrait and soul of President Ho Chi Minh. Countless artists have devoted their hearts to portraying his image through paintings, statues, silk paintings, lacquer, wood carvings, etc. Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum Nguyen Anh Minh shared: “The life and career of President Ho Chi Minh has touched the hearts of countless artists, providing endless inspiration for them to create works of art expressing sincere feelings and deep respect.”

Paintings and statues of Uncle Ho are not only works of art but also reminders and endless inspirations for future generations about patriotism, resilience and the noble sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the nation. The gentle face, deep eyes and tolerant smile in the painting Portrait of Uncle Ho by artist Nguyen Nghia Duyen is not only a painting but also a deep understanding of his noble personality. Similarly, many works also recreate meaningful historical moments such as Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence by Nguyen Duong, or Uncle Ho's Spring in Pac Bo, recalling a difficult time but full of optimism of Uncle Ho in the mountains and forests of Viet Bac.

Beyond national borders, fresh yet respectful perspectives from international artists such as David Thomas (USA) or Lee Sang Phil (Korea) continue to affirm the global stature of President Ho Chi Minh. Despite differences in materials and styles, they all share a sacred emotional thread: honoring a man who lived his entire life for the country and the people and left an immortal mark in the nation’s soul. And that mark is once again recreated emotionally through the lens of cinema.

Many valuable publications launched to readers

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), many valuable publications have been launched.

Outstanding among them is the novel series "Nuon non van dam" by writer Nguyen The Ky, consisting of 5 volumes. Each volume represents a stage in the journey of the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh to reach out to the world , from his hometown Nghe An to the revolutionary horizons, then returning to lead the nation to gain independence and build the country. Writer Nguyen The Ky shared: "I do not deify Uncle Ho, but only want to honestly portray Uncle Ho as a simple Vietnamese with a patriotic heart, in contact with the great ideas of the time."

On this occasion, the Truth National Political Publishing House introduces new works about Uncle Ho, such as: 79 stories of Uncle Ho from the Presidential Palace, a collection of short stories from people who had contact with Uncle Ho in the last years of his life; President Ho Chi Minh's residence and workplace at the Presidential Palace - Hanoi, helping readers clearly visualize the simple, pure living space full of Uncle Ho's wisdom and morality; the book series Ho Chi Minh's Style, a valuable source of documents for research and learning from Uncle Ho's example; Ho Chi Minh through the memories of former political prisoners in Con Dao, bringing emotional feelings about the spread of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in a harsh prison.

In particular, Vietnamese readers for the first time have access to a rare publication: Ho Chi Minh - A man and a nation, a translation of a book published in Italy in 1968. This comic book is a touching testament to the admiration of international friends for President Ho Chi Minh. Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Quang Hai commented: "The book has a new approach, rich data, is carefully and seriously compiled, and is especially useful in educating the younger generation."
