Local authorities, functional forces and organizations also promptly came to support and help people overcome the aftermath of floods.

Mr. Ho Van Chien (born in 1972, residing in Trung Thanh village, Cam Due commune, Cam Xuyen district) said that from the evening of May 24, there was heavy rain in the area and it lasted until the early morning of May 25. The rain combined with flood water from upstream rivers and streams rushed in, causing the water to rise and flood into houses, submerging many properties and belongings.
According to Mr. Ho Van Chien, the floodwaters came so suddenly that his family was caught off guard. The rice that had just been harvested and was left in the yard was flooded and swept away. In addition, some vegetables in the garden were also flooded and damaged.
