[Photo] Funeral of former President Tran Duc Luong in Quang Ngai

At 2:30 p.m. on May 25, the hearse carrying the coffin of former President Tran Duc Luong arrived at Dien Truong village cemetery, Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province - his hometown.

Attending the funeral were National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; National Assembly Vice Chairmen Nguyen Khac Dinh and Tran Quang Phuong and their families.

Thousands of Quang Ngai people were present to see off the former President to his final resting place.

At exactly 3 p.m., the funeral organizing committee held the burial ceremony. At the end of the funeral, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Head of the National Funeral Organizing Committee, read the words of thanks.
