Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as Head of Steering Committee to monitor and direct grassroots congresses

According to the announcement, comrade Nguyen Van Duoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, is the Head of the Steering Committee to monitor and direct the grassroots congress (referred to as the Steering Committee).

Comrade Duong Ngoc Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, as Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee.

The Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include: Tran Van Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Ngo Thanh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

The Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also established 11 working groups to monitor and direct grassroots congresses.

The Working Groups will directly monitor, direct, guide and inspect the preparation of content, draft documents and personnel for organizing model congresses and grassroots congresses of the responsible units. At the same time, promptly report and ask for opinions from the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to direct and guide the timely resolution of arising issues (if any) during the process of directing congresses at the units.

The Working Groups need to ensure the progress of the time to organize the congresses of Party cells under the Party Committees of the departments and grassroots Party Committees for the 2025-2027 term and the Party Committees of the departments; Party Committees and grassroots Party cells for the 2025-2030 term.

The Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also has a plan to prepare and organize the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (term 2025-2030).

According to the plan, the Congress aims to determine the direction, goals, tasks, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, it will discuss and contribute opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the draft documents of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee will take place for no more than 2 days, expected to be held in July 2025.
