Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Code: VTP) has just announced that it has received the resignation letter of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam (born in 1969) - Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2024 - 2029 term. In the letter sent on August 17, Mr. Nam requested to resign from his positions for personal reasons.
Previously, on August 15, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Viettel Group also agreed to let Major General Nguyen Thanh Nam retire as desired from August 1.
Mr. Nam joined Viettel Group and has held many positions in the group. Mr. Nam was first appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viettel Post on April 24, 2021. He was then reappointed on April 27, 2024 at the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
With Mr. Nam's withdrawal, the company's Board of Directors currently has members including Vice Chairman Hoang Trung Thanh (also General Director), Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Mr. Dinh Thanh Son, and Mr. Phung Viet Thang.

In 2023, Viettel Post achieved revenue of VND 19,727 billion, down 9.27% compared to 2022. Profit after tax reached VND 397.8 billion, up 48.2% compared to 2022.
After the first two quarters of 2024, Viettel Post's pre-tax profit was VND190.5 billion, reaching 103% of the plan. Estimated full-year performance is VND486.1 billion, equivalent to 101.1% of the yearly plan.
