On November 4, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to prepare for the opening ceremony of the Long Sap international border gate pair, Son La province - Pa Hang, Hua Phan province, Lao PDR.
At the meeting, delegates gave their opinions on the draft plan for the opening ceremony of the border gate. Accordingly, the opening ceremony of the Long Sap international border gate pair, Son La province - Pa Hang, Hua Phan province, will be held on November 19, 2024 at the national level, co-organized and co-chaired by Son La province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Hua Phan province, Lao PDR, at the border marker 255 of Long Sap Border Guard Station, Moc Chau district. At the opening ceremony, there will be an art program, the announcement of the Government 's Resolution, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, witnessing the experimental entry and exit, import and export activities, and the display and promotion of OCOP products and safe agricultural products.
Up to now, the Provincial People's Committee has organized discussions and agreed on the program of the opening ceremony, drafted a report to ask for opinions from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the program content; organized a delegation to survey the location of the opening ceremony; drafted a plan to organize the opening ceremony of the border gate and asked for opinions from relevant units, departments, branches and localities.
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Trang Thi Xuan emphasized that the organization of the ceremony to announce the opening of the pair of border gates aims to promote international cooperation, rapid and sustainable international economic integration, and strengthen activities in defense diplomacy, security diplomacy, and border diplomacy. She requested relevant departments, branches, localities, and units to carry out assigned tasks according to the assigned plan, closely coordinate, advise the Provincial People's Committee to organize the opening ceremony to ensure security, safety, solemnity, and economy, and closely coordinate with Hua Phan province, Lao PDR, during the implementation process.
