At the end of the stock session on July 24, the VN-Index closed at 1,521 points, up 8.7 points (+0.58%).
Opening the morning session, VN-Index started off excitedly with an increase of 8 points, but then went down due to profit-taking pressure. Cash flow showed signs of shifting to mid- and small-cap stocks.
In the afternoon session, the market witnessed a strong correction when VN-Index decreased by more than 9 points, falling close to the 1,500 mark due to high supply and pressure from large stocks such as VHM, HPG, and HVN.
However, strong demand appeared, especially from the banking group, along with a positive reversal of large-cap stocks VIC and sectors such as oil and gas, real estate, electricity, securities and food. Thanks to that, VN-Index recovered spectacularly, closing at 1,521 points, up 8.7 points (equivalent to 0.58%).
According to VCBS Securities Company, the market is showing signs of slowing down to accumulate points. Large-cap stocks are still the main driving force, while cash flows are constantly circulating with high liquidity.
Therefore, VCBS Securities Company recommends that investors can disburse part of their investment into stocks that show signs of increasing. Notable industry groups include electricity, oil and gas, transportation-seaports, real estate and banking.
Dragon Capital Securities Company (VDSC) commented that the market continued to be in a fierce competition and tried to surpass the 1,520-point threshold. Although liquidity decreased compared to the previous session, cash flow was still strong enough to support the market. With the recent upward trend, VDSC predicted that VN-Index has the opportunity to expand its growth momentum and head towards the peak of 1,536 points.
With the current developments, some securities companies believe that banking, real estate, oil and gas and electricity stocks will be the focus of attracting cash flow. Investors disbursing part of their investment into potential stocks will be a suitable trading strategy.
