DT615 route connecting Son Cam Ha commune through Hiep Duc has been degraded and narrow for many years, making it extremely difficult for people in the area to travel and transport goods. Tien Phuoc district (old) has invested in expanding and renovating this route in 2024.

The route passing through Trung An village of Son Cam Ha commune is 4.2km long, with 34 households whose land, trees, and structures are being recovered. The implementation method is that the State and the people work together, the people donate land, and the State funds support compensation for affected trees and structures on the land.

When assigned the task of working with the commune to mobilize people to donate land for road construction, Trung An village Party Cell identified this as the most important task of 2023, so it issued a specialized resolution of the Party Cell to implement it.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tinh, Secretary of the Trung An village Party Cell, said that when the resolution was issued, the plan to mobilize people was also assigned in detail to each comrade in the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the village, especially the role of the Party members in the Party Cell was to take the lead in mobilizing and propagating.

Families of party members whose land is subject to land recovery or whose relatives are subject to land recovery must set an example and convince their families and relatives to agree with the common policy.

“The campaign was quite difficult, because the people’s land was greatly affected, and the trees on the land were all perennial trees with high economic value such as areca, do bau, grapefruit, lon bon... So we had to stick with the people, campaigning day and night to gain consensus. Only with the people’s support and the State’s support could we have this spacious road,” said Mr. Tinh.

The most typical of the 34 households donating land to build roads in Trung An village is Mr. Nguyen Huu Phung's household.

Mr. Phung's land extends along the road, so the total area of the family's land affected is up to more than 1,000 square meters, on the land there are many types of perennial crops affected, with an estimated value of more than 1 billion VND.

The Party cell and People's Committee of Trung An village, together with Son Cam Ha commune, patiently explained and persuaded Mr. Phung's family to agree with the policy and join hands to build this road.

Mr. Phung said: “At first, when we heard that the area was too large, my family had to discuss it many times before deciding to donate the land. As farmers, a piece of land and garden is very precious!

But thinking back over the years, my people, family, and children have had to travel on damaged roads, making it difficult to do business, so I decided to donate my land to the State to build roads.

Now there is a clean and beautiful road, convenient to travel, I am very happy".
