At the same time, improving the landscape and infrastructure, and staying firmly contributes to firmly protecting national border sovereignty .

Every time he visited Ta Lo San village (in Sen Thuong commune), comrade Mua A Vang, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province, was very concerned when he witnessed the difficulties and deprivation of the people. He said: Ta Lo San was established under the program of migrating to the border since 1999. Initially, there were 13 families of Ha Nhi ethnic people in the villages in the commune and some neighboring communes and they were all poor households, in difficult circumstances; many young couples who had just started a family volunteered to leave the village to go to a new village which was very far away, very difficult because it was nearly 40 km from the commune center, the road was a trail. The village had no electricity, water...

Since then, after 26 years of establishment, Ta Lo San is still one of the most difficult villages in Dien Bien province with the rate of poor and near-poor households accounting for more than 33%. The main cause of poverty is due to the small amount of productive land, the lack of a canal system, so crop productivity is much lower than other places, while essential infrastructure is lacking (no national grid electricity, drainage system, waste treatment; incomplete internal village roads...).

To help the Ha Nhi people here gradually escape poverty; at the same time, build Ta Lo San into a model green-clean-beautiful residential area on the border, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province has chaired the development of a separate project for Ta Lo San. Accordingly, the specific goal is to build the village into a safe, civilized residential area, free of social evils; 100% of households commit to join hands to maintain security and order, protect border sovereignty, not to migrate freely, not to leave the country illegally and join hands to protect the forest. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province has set aside a budget of about 1.66 billion VND and socialized resources to buy rice milling machines for the people; support breeding cows, purple cardamom seedlings and repair 16 dilapidated houses for households.

Regarding infrastructure, the project invests in 500m of internal village roads, a 1-hectare playground, a waste treatment system, repairs classrooms; equips speakers, televisions, tables, chairs and equipment for the Cultural House to restore the traditional festival of the Ha Nhi people in the village, thereby strengthening community solidarity. In addition to funding from the Provincial Fund for the Poor, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province also presided over and mobilized additional funding to support 23 families to build toilets, renovate 27 livestock barns to ensure environmental sanitation; plant trees and flowers along the road to create a green-clean-beautiful landscape...

The Committee also requested the local authorities and officers and soldiers of Sen Thuong Border Post to help the people of Ta Lo San village complete all the work and items by early 2026. Through this, comrade Mua A Vang hopes that each villager will proactively carry out each part of the family work, make efforts to contribute to the common projects of the village; by early 2026, all items and projects will be completed, such as: repairing classrooms, building roads, repairing cultural houses and community playgrounds...

Notably, right after the launching ceremony of the model construction of "Solidarity, green-clean-beautiful border residential area" in Ta Lo San village (held on May 29), up to now, every day there are dozens of young people, women's union members and villagers together with officers and soldiers of Sen Thuong Border Guard Station participating in clearing the ground for community playgrounds and repairing houses for each family. Despite the unfavorable weather, with erratic sunshine and rain, the villagers are very active because everyone wants to soon complete the construction of a more beautiful and greener village.

The village chief of Po Xuan Muoi said: “Because there is no common place for activities, on every holiday or Tet, people have to go to the center of Sen Thuong commune to watch programs organized by other villages; the road is long, and it is very difficult for the elderly and children to travel. Therefore, when they were supported to build a community playground in the village, every household sent people to contribute labor, level the ground and transport materials for construction with the hope that the project would be completed so that this traditional Tet holiday would have a place for common cultural activities. The project not only meets the needs of community activities but also contributes to improving spiritual life and strengthening solidarity among households in the border areas of the Fatherland.”

Also in Ta Lo San village, in recent days, villagers have assigned each other to support Mr. Ly Truong Son's family to build a new house. Mr. Son's family is one of five poor households that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province has supported with funds to build a solid house (a traditional rammed earth house of the Ha Nhi ethnic group). Comrade Ly Phu Ca, Secretary of Ta Lo San Party Cell, said: "Mr. Ly Truong Son's family is the poorest in the village; the family has no buffaloes or cows, little land for production, and life is very difficult. Therefore, when we heard that the Fatherland Front supported funds to build a house for the poor, we met and agreed to support Mr. Son's family. At the same time, the Party Cell of the village also assigned party members to mobilize people to help and contribute materials so that he could build a solid house."

In addition to the funding to support the construction of the works, in recent days, the people of Ta Lo San village have also been happy when each family has been supported with 1,000 cardamom seedlings to plant under the common forest canopy of the village. Sunny days, rainy days, although very busy, on the face of each Ha Nhi person there is a bright smile with the belief that life will be better in the future and Ta Lo San village will be more and more beautiful on the border.
