Venerable Thach Ha, Chairman of the Patriotic Monks' Solidarity Association of Ca Mau Province, Abbot of Monivongsa Bopharam Pagoda : "The program has contributed to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Khmer people."

The achievements made in ethnic minority areas in recent times are the result of the attention and efforts of Party committees and local authorities at all levels. Under the leadership of the Party and the management and administration of the State, these efforts have been concretized and implemented in a specific and coordinated manner, bringing about effective and practical results.

As you know, temples are centers of traditional Khmer culture, reflecting the compassion, vows, and benevolence of people according to Buddhist teachings. The renovation and investment in various aspects within the temple grounds, as well as the construction of new salatels (community cultural centers), have been given due attention. In addition, the temples have received investment in building traditional boats (ghe ngo) and donating traditional five-instrument orchestras… from the National Target Program 1719.

This not only reflects the Party and State's concern for ethnic and religious affairs regarding Khmer Theravada Buddhism and the Khmer ethnic community, but also strengthens the spirit of solidarity and builds trust among ethnic minorities in the Party and State in the construction and protection of the socialist Fatherland in the current new situation. At the same time, it affirms that the Program's benefits adequately meet the essential needs of ethnic minorities in general and have contributed to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Khmer people in Ca Mau province in particular.
