Art program "Echoes forever" Celebrating the 79th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the evening of September 2, at the City Theater Square, the art program "Echoing the heroic song" took place to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
Attending the program were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and a large number of officers, soldiers, and people of the city.
August 19, 1945 has gone down in the glorious history of the Vietnamese people as a brilliant milestone - the August Revolution succeeded, the first democratic state of workers and peasants in Southeast Asia was established, opening a new era - the era of national independence associated with socialism. From here, our people escaped the shackles of slavery of feudal colonialism to become masters of the country, masters of their own destiny. The victory of the August Revolution was the victory of patriotism and the strength of great national unity under the correct and talented leadership of the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh .
After the success of the August Revolution, on September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, transforming our country from a semi-feudal colony into an independent, free, and democratic one.
79 years, through many ups and downs in the historical process of protecting, building and developing the country, has further affirmed that Vietnam's path to Socialism is the absolutely correct path. The Vietnamese people always aspire for peace and friendly cooperation, trade, and welcome international friends.
On the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Department of Culture and Sports directed the City Performance Center to carry out the Art Program "Epic Song Resounds Forever" with songs that go through the years, praising the glorious Party, beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the beauty as well as the constant innovation of Vietnam and Hai Phong city.
Part I, titled “Uncle Ho’s words echo through the country”, includes the performances “August 19th - The Road Forward” (composed by Xuan Oanh - Luong Ngoc Trac), “My Fatherland Has Never Been So Beautiful” (composed by Nguyen Van Thuong), “The Call of Vietnam” (composed by Xuan Hung), “Beautiful Vietnam” (composed by Nguyen Hoang Duy), “Uncle Ho’s Voice Echoes in the Autumn of the Port City” (composed by Tuan Phuong), “The Glory of Lac Hong” (composed by HoLy Thang).
Part II, titled “Building a civilized and modern homeland”, includes the performances “Country” (composed by Tran Nghe), “Hai Phong I love” (composed by Hoang Hung), “Homeland, love of youth” (composed by Quoc Dung), “Far away” (composed by Nguyen Tai Tue), “Vietnam's aspiration for power” (composed by Ho Trong Tuan), “Steady progress to the pinnacle of glory” (composed by Ho Hoai Anh), “Our homeland, flags flying - City life - Thousands of Vietnamese dreams” (composed by Nguyen Cuong, Cat Van, Nguyen Hong Thuan).
The program is performed by People's Artist Nhat Thuan, Runner-up of Sao Mai Nationwide 2022 - Singer Hong Hanh, A Prize winner of Good Voice of Hanoi 2024 - Singer Minh Phuong, singer Duy Duc along with many artists and actors from Hanoi capital, Hai Phong city, Military Region 3 Art Troupe, Navy Art Troupe...
The program is part of a series of cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Thereby contributing to creating an exciting and proud atmosphere among all classes of people towards the special anniversary of the whole nation.
