Rosie Martin, a nutritionist working for the UK Health Service, shares four foods to add to your first meal of the day that can help your cholesterol levels and heart.
Oatmeal
The female expert explained: Oats provide soluble fiber beta glucan which has the effect of reducing cholesterol. Eating a bowl of porridge about 30 grams of oats in the morning is a perfect start for each person, according to Express .
Soybeans
Soy products, such as soy milk, soy yogurt, tofu and soybeans have also been scientifically shown to lower cholesterol levels.

Fruits and vegetables

Nuts

30 grams of raw, unsalted nuts, including almonds, walnuts, cashews or pistachios, is recommended. Sprinkle a few nuts on your breakfast to boost your intake of heart-healthy fats, according to Express .
Ms. Martin also recommends avoiding the following foods if you have high cholesterol or high blood pressure: Sausages, bacon, processed cereals with added sugar.
