On the morning of May 14, Tan Son Nhat International Airport issued an update on operations at Tan Son Nhat Airport.

Accordingly, after more than 20 days of actual operation of the flight route between Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi, Van Don of Vietnam Airlines at Passenger Terminal T3, from 4:00 a.m. on May 17, 2025, Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Vietnam Airlines agreed to transfer all remaining domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines to Passenger Terminal T3.

For flights of VietJet Air, Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Airways and flights operated by ATR72 aircraft with flight number Vietnam Airlines (VN) for routes to Con Dao (VCS), Ca Mau (CAH) and Rach Gia (VKG) continue to operate at Passenger Terminal T1.

Previously, on April 19, Terminal T3 - Tan Son Nhat International Airport was officially opened and put into operation, becoming a large, modern passenger terminal, with a total designed capacity of 20 million domestic passengers per year.

Initially, Vietnam Airlines planned to move all domestic flights to T3 by April 28, but then changed plans.

Because Tan Son Nhat T3 terminal has a different approach from the existing T1 and T2 terminals, people need to carefully check the information on their tickets and arrange their travel time appropriately, because if they go to the wrong terminal, they risk missing their flight.
