On the morning of May 28, the chairman of Bac Ninh Football Club, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, confirmed that the team had fired Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan after round 9 of the 2025 National Second Division.
"The decision to fire Mr. Hoang Anh Tuan came from many reasons. One of them was the 0-1 loss to Quang Ninh Club in the second division recently," the chairman of Bac Ninh Club told Tuoi Tre .
"We are currently meeting to decide who will be the successor or interim leader of Bac Ninh football team in the next phase. Bac Ninh football club's goal is still promotion."
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan joined Bac Ninh Club, with Mr. Park Hang Seo as advisor, from early March 2025. After less than 3 months in charge, the coach from Nha Trang had to leave the coaching position.
After 6 matches, Bac Ninh Club won 4, drew 1 and lost 1. 2 draws and 2 losses were both against Quang Ninh.
Bac Ninh FC dropped to 3rd place in Group B with 13 points. According to the rules, each group has 2 promotion spots for the top 2 positions. Bac Ninh still has a chance to find a promotion spot.
PVF-CAND Youth Team (15 points) and Quang Ninh Club (14 points) are leading. The 2025 Second Division is about to play round 10 and there are 5 more rounds until the end of the season.
