According to information from the Asian Telecom Awards 2023 judging panel, CMC Telecom received two nominations: Cloud Initiative of the Year and Infrastructure Initiative of the Year. A representative from CMC Telecom stated that the company had to meet numerous criteria set by the organizing committee regarding transparency, business efficiency; research and development activities, innovation; and quality and safety according to international standards.
CMC Telecom has been nominated for two awards at the Asian Telecom Awards 2023.
The “Infrastructure Initiative of the Year” award recognizes high-quality, internationally standardized digital infrastructure solutions from providers in the Asian region. One of the key factors contributing to CMC Telecom's nomination for this award is its Tan Thuan Data Center (DC). This is the first next-generation data center in Vietnam to have Uptime Tier III certification for both design and construction. CMC Cloud, a subsidiary of CMC Telecom, was also nominated for the “Cloud of the Year” award for its ability to directly connect to and simultaneously manage three leading global cloud computing services: Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services.
The Asian Telecom Awards system has three categories: Outstanding Carrier Service Providers (Carrier Awards), Innovation Awards (Initiative of the Year), and Outstanding Leaders (CEO of the Year). In this year's Asian Telecom Awards, which comprises 22 categories, Vietnam has only one representative: CMC Telecom. Both of CMC Telecom's nominations are in the category honoring the innovation of service providers.
The final round of judging will be conducted by an independent panel of experts from the Big 4 firms: Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PwC, to ensure accuracy, objectivity, and thoroughness in the selection process. The organizers announced that the list of winners of the Asian Telecom Asia Awards 2023 will be officially released on April 6th.

The Asian Telecom Awards is a telecommunications award recognizing the outstanding achievements and initiatives of leading telecommunications companies in Asia. This award has been held annually since 2003 by Asian Mobile News – a prestigious organization specializing in analysis, evaluation, and selection in Asia. 2023 marks the 21st year of the Asian Telecom Awards, bringing together leading telecommunications companies in Asia such as Singtel (Singapore), KDDI (Japan), Telkom (Indonesia) , AIS (Thailand), Rakuten Mobile (Korea), and others.
