Get pension immediately after retirement according to Decree 178?

(Chinhphu.vn) - Mr. Doan Trung (Tien Giang) was born in 1972, is a civil servant, has paid compulsory social insurance for 23 years. He voluntarily applied for early retirement according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP. Mr. Trung asked, will he receive his pension (pension book) immediately after he has a decision to retire early?

Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Home Affairs responded as follows:

Pursuant to Article 4 of Circular No. 1/2025/TT-BNV dated January 17, 2025 of the Minister of Home Affairs guiding the implementation of policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees in the implementation of organizational arrangement of the political system (amended and supplemented in Circular No. 002/2025/TT-BNV dated April 4, 2025), in case of being subject to early retirement according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP), they shall immediately receive pension according to the provisions of the law on social insurance without having the pension rate deducted due to early retirement; and at the same time enjoy subsidies according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented in Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP).
