TPO - Surpassing more than 100 contestants from districts, towns, and cities, a Mong ethnic contestant in Mu Cang Chai district has just become the Miss "Yen Bai Youth Charm" contest in 2024.

From early morning, many local people came to cheer and encourage the contestants participating in the final night of the competition.

Mr. Ha Duc Hai - Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union said that the contest "The Charming Beauty - Charming Youth of Yen Bai 2024" was held for the first time to find bright faces, representing both appearance and intelligence for Yen Bai youth.

The contest was launched in July 2024, attracting the participation of more than 150 talented and beautiful contestants who are young women from Yen Bai aged 17 - 25, studying at academies, universities, colleges, Vocational Guidance and Continuing Education Centers, high schools and working at agencies and units across the country.

After two preliminary and semi-final rounds, the Organizing Committee selected the 15 best candidates to participate in the final night.

In the final night, the contestants went through 2 rounds: national costume performance and talent competition. The contestants participated in the performance of national costumes typical of Yen Bai land and showed their talents with a performance of their choice such as: singing, dancing, storytelling,...

After 2 rounds, the Organizing Committee selected the 5 best contestants to participate in the behavioral round, to find the title of beauty queen of the contest.

The Organizing Committee also awarded 4 subsidiary prizes including: Contestant wearing the most beautiful Ao Dai, Contestant wearing the most beautiful national costume; Face of Yen Bai Youth Tourism ; Most favorite contestant for contestant Nguyen Thi Huyen, registration number 84; contestant Nguyen Uyen Trang, registration number 04.

Contestant Nguyen Uyen Trang also had the honor of winning the title of Second Runner-up.

Contestant Nguyen Thi Huyen excellently won the title of First Runner-up.

At the final night, the Organizing Committee also awarded certificates of merit to the accompanying units.

The organizing committee signed a sponsorship agreement for two disadvantaged students in Yen Bai city. Immediately after the competition ended, the finalists participated in activities organized by Yen Bai Provincial Youth Union, giving support to disadvantaged families in Yen Binh district.
