Pung Luong is a mountainous commune with many difficulties, lacking equipment, materials, and teaching aids according to the new educational orientation, along with language barriers and limitations in the ability of highland children to access knowledge.
Teaching in such conditions, young teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan has constantly researched and applied solutions to bring the best learning experience to her students.

Ms. Ngan confided: “We are living in the age of technology. Even in mountainous communes, children need to have access to advanced educational methods to develop comprehensively and get acquainted with the digital world .”
With that determination, Ms. Ngan self-studied and applied technology. Not only did she stop at preparing regular electronic lesson plans, she also used interactive lesson design software such as advanced PowerPoint, Capcut, and applications to create intellectual games: secret door games, lucky spins, etc.
Based on the psychological characteristics of children, Ms. Ngan also divided the application of information technology into 3 forms: Full, Interspersed and Partial. Before each learning topic, she builds goals, content, plans, thereby determining activities that require the application of information technology and appropriate forms of application, avoiding the abuse of technology while forgetting the content and purpose of the lecture.
Teacher Ngan also created a class zalo group so that parents can discuss and see their children's activities at school. "Before each learning topic, I will inform parents about the lessons, some content requires parents' cooperation for the topic. On holidays, I design lessons using family photos provided by parents or photos that the teacher takes of the children's activities in class.
The children were very excited and happy to see themselves and their relatives in the lesson. At the same time, I also sent videos to support parents in caring for and educating children, and received many positive interactions from parents" - teacher Ngan shared.
By creating a “see-hear-touch” lesson plan, Ms. Ngan has transformed dry concepts and lessons into animated images, fun sounds and interactive games on the smart board, helping children easily absorb knowledge about the world around them, letters and numbers in an intuitive way.

She also regularly organizes experiential activities, life skills education, and self-service skills for children. The lessons are no longer boring but become lively and fun, helping children in the highlands overcome language barriers and initial fears, confidently communicate and express themselves.
Thanks to that, in the 2024 - 2025 school year, the kindergarten class headed by teacher Ngan had an attendance rate of 96.3%; children were disciplined, communicated well in Vietnamese, and educated 5-year-old children to develop in 6 areas, 160 goals and 70 indicators.
Ms. Vang Thi Bau - parent of Giang Minh Ka, class 5-6 A2 Kindergarten, Nam Khat village happily said: "Since Ms. Ngan introduced new teaching methods, my child comes home and tells a lot about the pictures, videos, and games that the teacher organized. He really looks forward to going to class."
In addition to actively applying information technology in teaching, teacher Ngan also participates in researching solutions to effectively build a preschool model associated with experiential activities to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Mong ethnic group.
By decorating the classroom and study corner with Mong people's items, encouraging parents to make panpipes, sew traditional clothes, work tools and teach ethnic dances, she has created a friendly, close learning environment imbued with national identity right in the school grounds and classrooms, helping children gradually form good personalities.

The efforts of teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngan have been contributing to shortening the education gap between highland and lowland areas, sowing the seeds of knowledge and belief in a bright future for the Pung Luong preschool generation.
With her dedication and constant creativity, teacher Ngan is honored to be one of 85 teachers in the province to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training for her outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.
