According to the Department of Tourism's report, it is estimated that in 2024, Khanh Hoa will welcome about 750,000 Chinese tourists, an increase of 190% compared to 2023. Ms. Do Thi Van Anh - Deputy Director of Khang Thai Vietnam Travel Co., Ltd. said that since the beginning of November, the number of Chinese tourists has increased quite well. Currently, the company welcomes more than 2,000 Chinese tourists each month. Companies specializing in welcoming Chinese tourists such as: Danang Holiday One Member Co., Ltd., Gia Viet Tourism Co., Ltd., Asia Trade and Tourism Co., Ltd. ... also said that the number of Chinese tourists is increasing again. According to information from hotels and resorts, the number of Chinese tourists registering to stay has been increasing gradually recently. Currently, hotels have received quite a lot from travel agencies for Chinese tourists to stay during the Lunar New Year 2025.
According to information from Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, there are currently 8-9 flights from China to Cam Ranh every day with about 1,000-1,200 passengers/day/direction. In the near future, a number of airlines will open new routes from Chinese cities to Khanh Hoa, of which Qingdao Airlines will resume charter flights from Chengdu (Sichuan) to Cam Ranh from December 28. In addition to tourists traveling by air, there are also tourists traveling by train. At the end of November, Vietnam-China Global Friendship Group Joint Stock Company brought more than 460 Chinese tourists on a cross-Vietnam train tour to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa. Currently, the company has planned to promote the exploitation of cross-Vietnam tours by train, in which Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is a key point of this tour".
According to Mr. Pham Thanh Son - General Director of Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company, reasonable prices are one of the main reasons for Khanh Hoa tourism to attract Chinese tourists. The sharp increase in the number of Chinese tourists in recent times has brought great momentum to the local tourism industry. To catch up with the wave of Chinese tourists, the Inter-Pacific Group (the largest shareholder of Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company) has just signed a memorandum of understanding with China Duty Free - the largest duty-free group in China. According to the agreement, China Duty Free commits to bringing a large number of Chinese tourists to Vietnam, expected to reach tens of millions of visitors each year. This is an opportunity for Khanh Hoa to expand its reception of Chinese tourists.
