Quoc Cuong Gia Lai (QCG) stock price turns to floor price, "peak hunters" are restless

ANTD.VN - After 10 consecutive sessions of increasing points, including 4 ceiling sessions, QCG shares of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai Joint Stock Company today turned around and dropped to the floor.

Right at the opening of today's trading session (October 23), Quoc Cuong Gia Lai's QCG shares were sold heavily, falling to the floor and maintaining the floor price until closing at VND10,030/share.

Previously, this stock had 10 consecutive increasing sessions, since the session on October 9, bringing QCG from the price range below VND 7,000/share to VND 11,050/share on the session on October 22, corresponding to an increase of 60%.

With the hot increase in recent sessions, QCG shares have returned to the price range of mid-July 2024, before the arrest of the company's former CEO, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Loan.

Quoc Cuong Gia Lai shares have fluctuated strongly recently.

It is worth noting that the strong increase in QCG shares occurred during the time when the VN-Index was continuously adjusting when facing pressure before the 1,300-point mark. At the same time, Quoc Cuong Gia Lai itself did not have any notable news or announcements related to production and business activities. Currently, this stock is also listed by HOSE as ineligible for margin trading, because the after-tax profit of the parent company's shareholders on the audited consolidated financial statements for the first half of 2024 is negative.

The unusual price increase of QCG has attracted a large number of FOMO (fear of missing out) investors. In the trading session on October 17, there were even more than 5.8 million shares matched, while the average in previous sessions was only less than 1 million shares.

Yesterday's session, this stock also continuously hit the ceiling price with a trading volume of over 2.1 million units and those who FOMOed this stock yesterday must be "restless" when this stock "turned around" today.

Regarding the general market, VN-Index continuously encountered difficulties before the threshold of 1,300 points. In today's session, the HOSE index only increased slightly by 1.01 points (0.08%) to 1,270.90 points.

HNX-Index increased by 1 point (0.44%) to 226.5 points; UPCoM-Index increased by 0.39 points (0.43%) to 92.12 points.

On the HOSE floor, in addition to QCG, there were also a number of stocks that hit the floor, such as SRC, COM, TCR, PTL. On the other hand, a number of small stocks hit the ceiling, such as: KPF, VAF, KSB, FDC.

Market liquidity is low, less than 15,500 billion VND, foreign investors net sold slightly less than 50 billion VND.
